Join us on May 5th for a spectacular new event sponsored by the Galena Rotary Club. This event combines the excitement of a Kentucky Derby viewing party with a limited auction of unique items that you won’t find just anywhere! Top it all off with “Cinco de Mayo” flair, and you’ve got an event you won’t want to miss!
Imagine yourself sipping a Mint Julep (or a margarita) while watching the Kentucky Derby on the big screen(s)! Hors d’ ouvres catered by Fried Green Tomatoes and a full bar at your disposal, you can mingle with your friends while cheering on your favorite horse (or jockey, or number). This year’s auction items include a helicopter tour, dinner, and lodging in Chicago; dinner and a movie under the stars at a horse ranch; vineyard tour, wine tasting and dinner at the vineyard; and a Mississippi River dinner cruise, just to name a few! It’s not official, but the auction may start online this year, so you can bid from the privacy of your own home, in advance of the live auction!
